Boeing spin-off: extorted by ShinyHunters data-theft group
KrebsOnSecurity reports that the ShinyHunters extortion group was in the process of extorting a business unit recently divested by Boeing when a teenage suspect from Amman, Jordan, known as 'Rey', was detained. The suspect is reportedly cooperating with the FBI to identify other members of the group. No statement from the affected company is cited.
