French supermarkets: cyberattack on internet-connected refrigeration systems spoils chilled stock
A cyberattack against internet-connected refrigeration control systems ruined chilled food stocks at hundreds of French supermarkets over a weekend. CERT-FR advised supermarkets to disconnect refrigeration control systems with public IP addresses from the internet and reconnect only via secure VPN after verifying configurations or restoring factory defaults. More affected refrigerators have since been added to the official list.
